Originally from Aberystwyth, Dafydd served as a pastor with the Presbyterian church of Wales for six years, before being called to be the first pastor of the Bangor Welsh Evangelical Church in 1985, where he served until he retired at the end of last year.

Phil Davies was originally from Gower, Swansea, and after studying Applied Biology in Cardiff Uni he served in India and Nepal with OM where he met his wife Sheila. After serving together with Operation Mobilisation in India and the UK for 19 years they settled in Swansea and joined Counties Evangelists in 2004.
