“Self – Leadership” – Rico Tice
This lunchtime event is aimed at all those who carry various leadership responsibilities in the Church or in Christian agencies.
Rico Tice will explore the disciplines and the devotional life that are fundamental to healthy Christian leadership. As a widely respected Christian leader and a public evangelist for Christianity Explored, Rico is at the sharp end of mission. From his long and faithful ministry, Rico has lessons from failure and success to share with us.
Whether pastor-teachers, evangelists or lay workers, as servants of the Lord Jesus we lead from who we are, out of a clear understanding of the nature and purpose of our calling.
In days when it is a tough call to be a leader, we need encouragement and challenge to keep going with integrity and a Christ-centred vision.
Friday 3rd October - Evening Event
Hope Church Merthyr
7:30pm – 9:30pm
“Mobilising the local church for evangelism” – Rico Tice
We are delighted to be in Merthyr as Wales Leadership Forum goes “on tour “ for this year’s Equip Conference- To boldly go !
Rico Tice is our main speaker. His extensive experience in working with Churches in mission and in the use of the Christianity Explored material means that Rico can help us understand the strategic importance of the local Church in the mission of God today and how to mobilise it.
The challenge of reaching the generations with the transforming truth of Christ is one for which we need all the help we can get. One of the keys is to unlock the resources of the local Church and equip people with confidence to share the gospel in work, home and community.
So whether we are personally involved in front line evangelism or someone who has responsibility for organising mission events through the local church, or perhaps a Christian keen to learn what it means to be involved in effective mission, then this is an evening for you.
During the programme we will also be hearing from Kristian Diamond, a former professional football player- turned pastor.
Kristian has a powerful story of faith. He currently leads Wellington Chapel in Hereford. A Church aiming to plant out in the coming months. So Kristian is passionately committed to mobilising people for mission in a post Christian context.
All in all, we can look forward to an inspirational and motivational evening.
