'To Boldly Go! The Call of Mission in Wales Today'

The EQUIP 2025 Conference

The EQUIP conference is a great opportunity to hear from servant-hearted leaders in Christian mission.

This year in Rico Tice and Andrew Ollerton we have two influential voices who are serving the church in providing resources and strategies for mission.

Both are published authors and gifted communicators. They will bring a breadth of understanding and experience to help inspire and equip us for mission both in the day-to-day trenches and on the frontline.

We need the Church to step up and into the growing opportunities that exist in our secular culture. We are living at a time where a values vacuum and fragile life foundations for many mean that we can offer the transforming message of the gospel to our generation in an intelligent, creative and courageous way.

To boldly go, is the call of our conference. We cannot engage in mission on our own. We are always better together for Christ. So join us and bring others with you.

  • Thursday Evening – 2nd October – New House Hotel, Cardiff

“Extraordinary in the Ordinary” – An evening event especially for women, with Bethan Perry and Elaine Macdonald. Places at the hotel will cost £8, but the event will also be streamed online.

  • Friday Lunchtime – 3rd October – Union School of Theology, Bridgend

“Self – Leadership” – This lunchtime event with Rico Tice is aimed at all those who carry various leadership responsibilities in the Church or in Christian agencies.

  • Friday Evening – 3rd October – Hope Church Merthyr

“Mobilising the local church for evangelism” with Rico Tice. We are delighted to be in Merthyr as Wales Leadership Forum goes “on tour” for this year’s EQUIP Conference.

  • Saturday Morning – 4th October – Glenwood Church, Cardiff

With Rico Tice exploring ‘Evangelism – The why and the How?’ and Andrew Ollerton speaking on the subject How to Share Scripture with the Spiritually Curious – Global perspectives on opportunities in Wales’, we’re looking forward to an excellent time of teaching and encouragement.

Alongside our keynote speakers, we’ll have the opportunity to breakout into network streams that will allow us to focus on those areas of ministry that best suit our roles and gifting in the church, and we’ll also hear the latest news from the Wales Leadership Forum on the projects and programmes taking place all around Wales.

We’re pleased to be able to offer childcare provision for up to 40 children aged 7-12 years during the Saturday morning, in a ‘holiday club’ style format with stories, games, group discussions, activities, crafts, etc.

Places at the Friday and Saturday sessions are free, but please consider making a donation to help us to cover our speaker, refreshment and hire costs.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
