Extraordinary in the Ordinary

Knowing the transforming power of Jesus in everyday life.

Thursday 2nd October 2025

Acts 3 begins with Peter and John going about their daily routine. But they were not too busy to see the one person everyone knew but few people ever slowed down to actually see. What follows is an account of the transforming power of Jesus in everyday life, the extraordinary in the ordinary!!

Thank you for joining us at our WLF Women’s Event, Extraordinary in the Ordinary. We are very grateful to our speaker, Bethan Perry, for bringing such a clear message to us, and Gwennan Williams’ contribution as a member of the panel was much appreciated, too.

Thank you for your feedback. This will be so helpful to us as we think, pray and plan ahead.

You’ll find the recording of the event on this page, together with Bethan’s reflection questions to help you think through what you’ve heard. Please forward to anyone you know who was unable to make the evening itself.

We trust that we will all continue to know the ‘transforming power of Jesus’ in our everyday lives.

Reflection questions

Here are some questions from Bethan that will help us think through what we’ve heard, and not forget it in the busyness of life:

  • Which area of your life would you like the Lord Jesus to transform? Time, Talk, Thought or Timidity? Who might you ask to pray with you about this?
  • How will you spend more time with Jesus this week? What practical things could you do to ensure you have quality time to “be with him”?
  • What are some of the needs of the people around you? How could you play a part in meeting those needs, individually and as a church?
  • What truths about Jesus do you need to meditate on to transform your thought life?
