Keep Going!! God’s Grace is Enough

“I hope that, as we read and hear about the God who reconciles and restores, we will see that there is a way to keep going.”

Keep going!! God’s grace is enough.

Friday Sept 23rd 7.45 - 9.00

We are delighted that Caz Raine will be hosting the evening, and give a very warm welcome to Nay Dawson who is our speaker.

We’ll let them tell you a little more about it.

Caz: What are you hoping we might get out of our time together?

Nay: It is unusually hard for many of us in the times we live in right now, the impact of the pandemic, war in Ukraine and the cost of living crisis is taking its toll. Society is fragmented and tired. Despite the freedoms we have, many have opted for a more private and quiet life. How do we keep going in the midst of the exhaustion? How do we live as God’s ambassadors in a fragmented world? My hope is that our time together will help us deal with these very real questions. I hope that, as we read and hear about the God who reconciles and restores, we’ll see that there is a way to keep going.

Caz: I know you’re speaking on the ministry of reconciliation from 2 Corinthians. Can you tell us a little more about the evening as a whole? How can we best prepare ourselves to hear what we need to hear?

Nay: I’ll be looking at 2 Corinthians 5:17-6:2, this will be at the beginning of the evening. Then we’ll hear from two women who will share how who we are in Christ has made all the difference to them in their day to day lives. Two very different stories, both women talking about how the God of grace has sustained them in tough times and equipped them to be his ambassadors. How can you best prepare for the evening? I’d encourage you to read through the passage beforehand, a few times if you can. I’d also encourage you to invite a friend from church to come along too!

Caz: Why should we make it a priority to come?

Nay: Paul begins this letter to the Corinthians by praising God, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort. Our fragmented world needs such a God, we need such a God. A God of compassion and comfort, a God who reconciles and restores. If you are in need of this God right now, make it a priority to join us.

If you are planning to join as a church group or maybe as a small group of friends, why not watch together? Perhaps at church or at someone’s home? Have a ‘cuppa together beforehand or afterwards or both!!
