We're excited to announce Peter Baker as the first part-time National Director for Wales Leadership Forum

Peter and Siân Baker are no strangers to Wales, having led Highfields Church in Cardiff for almost two decades. As one of the Trustees for WLF over the last few years, one of the things that Peter has really appreciated about the ministry is its commitment to serve the whole church across Wales, whatever denomination or tradition.

“I want to reflect,” writes Peter, “on how all my years in Christian leadership can further benefit the churches and individuals that WLF is already doing such a brilliant job helping. We have an excellent set of ‘ministry-programme Directors’ and a big vision to create sustainable and thriving gospel communities throughout Wales.”

Peter officially begins in the new role from November, as he and his family move from Bournemouth to Swansea over the coming weeks.

How you can partner with Peter in this new role

Peter’s step into this new position is an exercise in faith. To enable Peter to focus fully on serving the leaders and churches of Wales, we want to build a team of partners who will support and stand with Peter as he works to help local churches in Wales raise up resilient and gifted leaders at all levels.

The goal is to raise prayer support and funding for the role which begins in November 2026. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with Peter in this exciting national mission? There are various ways in which you can do this listed below:

  • Prayer Partner: You will receive a monthly update with prayer points for gospel growth in Wales.
